At the May 18, 2017 Special Board Meeting of the Bonsall Unified School District, the Governing Board of Trustees approved a consulting agreement with Leadership Associates, an executive search firm who will advise the Board in finding BUSD’s next Superintendent of Schools.  The Board of Trustees took the action in response to the recent retirement announcement of Dr. Justin Cunningham who has served the District since 2008.

The search will include opportunities for staff and community members to provide input on the desired characteristics, skills and qualities sought in the next Superintendent.  The Board decided upon a timeline for advertising and recruitment, application screening, interviews and selection with the goal of approving the successful candidate at the regular scheduled board meeting in July. 

Search Update:  The Governing Board of Trustees met on June 22, 2017 to review applications and identify candidates to be interviewed.  The Board also revised the interview timeline.  The revised timeline has been published below.
