We are pleased to announce the selection of Allison Slattery for Bonsall Unified School District’s Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Slattery has been in education for 19 years, 8 years at Bonsall Elementary and 11 years at Bonsall West elementary where she teaches 4th grade. Not one to shy away from innovation, Mrs. Slattery enjoys technology and incorporates it creatively into the curriculum. (Just ask her students about their California Mission projects!) A self-described life-long learner, her passion for education is contagious. After school hours you might find her instructing students in Robotics or training other staff members and school volunteers about Digital Citizenship. Mrs. Slattery’s classroom environment is also a popular destination for future educators. She continues to serve as a lead teacher for many cohort students from the Cal State University San Marcos Credentialing Program. We are fortunate to have such an enthusiastic and dedicated professional contributing her many gifts and talents across our district. It is with the utmost pride that we honor Allison Slattery as Bonsall Unified’s 2016 Teacher of the Year!
